What’s a girl to see- Jerusalem Summer Street Art

Let me take you on a walk through Jerusalem’s city center!  Welcome to one of the most vibrant, eclectic and colorful cities in the world!  Summer in this city is a chock-full of festivals and events and here I will share some of the street art that you will see if you come to Jerusalem some time soon.  Last summer one of the streets in town displayed the famous umbrella installation and it was so amazing and impressive that the city decided to display the umbrellas again along with a whole bunch of other “flying” installations.  In the Middle East heat these installations actually add some shade so art that is also helpful/ functional- woo hoo!  Anyhow without further ado lets go for a walk down Jaffa and Ben Yehuda Streets in Jerusalem, these streets all are right of the main streets:

Flying flowers on Havatzelet Street – (off Jaffa street)

Flying Flowers on Ben Shetach street (off Jaffa street and Rivlin street)
The Umbrellas are back! – Nachalat Shiva/ Yoel Solomon Street (off Kikar Zion- Bentween Jaffa and Ben Yehuda)

An Ode to Brazil on Luntz Street (Off Ben Yehuda Street)

Flying Sombreros on Dorot Rishonim Street  (Off Ben Yehuda)

An ode to Chinese culture on Ben Hillel Street (off Ben Yehuda)

An Ode to Russia on Hahistadrut Street  (off Ben Yehuda)

and a bonus- butterflies all over the place on Bezalel and Shatz Streets!

Jerusalem is a city  filled with art and beauty and I look forward to introducing it to you in between my fashion and baking posts. 🙂 if you have any questions on locations please contact me!  Here is a link to a map of the area:
